Rules & Regulations:

  • Refer to General Rules Horticulture Division
  • Exhibits will be accepted at the Horticulture Building on WEDNESDAY August 10, 2016 from 9:00am to 6:00pm. Judging will take place Wednesday August 10 2016, 7:00pm – 9:00pm.
  • No Noxious Weeds
SECTION 55: 9 Years & Under – Juniors      
Prize Money: 1st-$10 2nd-$6 3rd-$4
Classes:
 1    Mud pies Decorated with shells, dried flowers, seeds etc. No artificial embellishments.
 2    Collection of Wild Flowers 
 3    Collection of Garden Flowers  
 4    Floral Arrangement in unusual container 
 5    Sweet Peas, 6 any color blooms 
 6    Pansies, 4 any color 
 7    Sunflower, 1 stem 
 8    Carrot, longest, 1 
 9    Bean, longest , 1 
 10    Freak Vegetable, 1 
 11    One Sculptured Vegetable 
 12    Collection of wild berries , minimum 5 kinds, 2 each, named on paper plate.

SECTION 56: 10 – 16 Years – Juniors

 1    Mud pies Nursery rhyme theme shown on surface no larger than 12″ by 12″
 2    Houseplant or dish garden, cared for by exhibitor 
 3    Collection of wild flowers, 4 kinds, named 
 4    Collection of Garden flowers, 4 kinds named 
 5    Bouquet for Grandma your choice of container
 6    Sweet peas, 6 blooms, one color 
 7    Pansies, 3 any color 
 8    Sunflower, 1 stem 
 9    One sculptured vegetable using fresh veggies to make man or animal, can use toothpicks or wire to connect.
 10    Beans, one type, 6 on plate 
 11    Peas, 6 of a variety, on plate 
 12    Potatoes, red or white, 3 on plate 
 13    Carrots, 3 on plate 
 14    Collection of wild berries 5 kinds, 2 each, named on paper plate.
